About Jasmin

I am passionate about teaching and have over 11 years’ experience managing, tutoring and assessing on a range of courses such as: Access to Forensic Science, Access to Policing and Criminology, BTEC, and Foundation Degree in Forensic Science. I feel passionate about my job because it gives me an opportunity to be involved in forming and educating the future generations. I believe I can support young learners in shaping their future through my personal and professional experience.

About the lesson

All lessons are planned and delivered in accordance with the Awarding Body Guidelines and Unit Specification. Lessons are catered for BTEC Level 3 (ages 16-18) and Access adult (age 19+) levels. To further engage all learners, I include various resources such as: imagery, videos, practical sessions, case studies, worksheets, short tests and revision of the material taught and mock exams. My lessons can last up to 1 hour; however, they can always be adapted to be shorter or longer. The following (relevant) qualifications have been gained and are effectively applied throughout my teaching/assessing career: BSc (Hons) Forensic Science and PGCE Secondary Science with Chemistry. As course Tutor for one of these groups I provide weekly 1:1 pastoral care, advice and support. This helps foster an environment where learners are encouraged to identify ways they can reach their full potential and achieve their individual/aspirational target grades, also, to freely discuss any matters relating to their progress or external pursuits.

Perfect! Our daughter needed 1-1 support for the Criminology 3+ hour public exam part of her BTEC in Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation. We spotted Jasmin on Superprof who explained that, not only did she know the course well, she had part-written the course!! She was a godsend! Jasmin was relaxed and friendly and immediately put my daughter at ease. Normally, she is too shy to ask questions, but, with Jasmin, she could ask her whatever she wanted about the exam. Jasmin was happy to fit in sessions around us as much as she could including giving extra sessions in the week before the exam. Consequently, my daughter was uncommonly relaxed before the exam and was happy and smiling when she came home afterwards. If you are looking for a tutor who is friendly, highly knowledgeable, approavhable and supportive, I would highly recommend Jasmin.
