About Phil
I began writing music when I was 15, after getting bored of singing and playing the same cover songs all the time! After 10 years of learning to write music by myself through practice, and trial and error, I decided to further develop my songwriting by studying a masters degree in composition at one of the most prestigious music universities in the country, BIMM.
Through these years of experience and higher level education I have learned to write captivating, professional songs in a wide variety of genres both for my own projects and for other artists.
I would now like to pass my songwriting knowledge on to you so that you don’t have to spend 11 years and get a masters degree to learn what I have learned!

I can teach you to improve your songwriting!
Thinking of getting into songwriting but not sure where to start?
Written 100 songs that all sound the same or don’t sound as good as your favourite artists?
Whatever your experience I can help you improve and expand your songwriting!
With a masters degree in popular music composition and 11 years songwriting experience I am well equipped to help you develop, broaden, and improve your writing.
In our first session I will listen to some examples of your songwriting (if you have any!), as well as any reference artists you would like your music to sound similar to, and note any areas I feel the songs could be improved and take note of any areas you would like to improve upon (such as writing catchier melodies or more meaningful lyrics).
We will then begin writing a song together, where I will help to guide your songwriting in the direction you would like it to go!
