About Maddie
When you work with me as a tutor, you can expect a professional, supportive, and reliable learning experience. As a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner actively practicing in orthopedics, I bring current, real-world medical knowledge into every session. I work directly with patients in clinic, collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams, and assist in surgery — meaning the information I teach is practical, evidence-based, and relevant to today’s healthcare environment.
I understand that healthcare education can feel overwhelming at times, especially when trying to apply classroom concepts to real clinical situations. My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and strengthening critical-thinking skills without fear of judgment.
As a tutor, I prioritize:
Professionalism and respect in every interaction
Clear communication and organized teaching
Evidence-based education aligned with current practice
Patience and adaptability to different learning styles
Encouragement that builds confidence and clinical reasoning
I am passionate about helping students succeed academically and professionally. Whether you are preparing for exams, clinicals, nursing courses, NP coursework, or simply trying to better understand patient care, I provide guidance rooted in real clinical experience and a genuine commitment to student growth.
My objective is not only to help students improve grades or test scores, but also to help them develop the confidence, knowledge, and professionalism needed to succeed in healthcare careers.

As an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner working in orthopedics, I bring a unique combination of primary care knowledge, specialty expertise, surgical experience, and hands-on patient management that students rarely get exposure to in one setting.
Here’s what students gain from learning with me:
Real clinical insight — not just theory. I actively see patients in clinic, manage treatment plans, interpret imaging, perform assessments, and assist in surgery. Students learn how medicine actually works in practice.
A deeper understanding of musculoskeletal care. Orthopedics is everywhere in healthcare — from sports injuries and fractures to arthritis, chronic pain, joint replacements, osteoporosis, and mobility issues in older adults.
Exposure to surgery and procedural care. Many students never get the opportunity to learn from someone involved both in clinic and the OR. I can teach perioperative care, surgical decision-making, patient education, and post-op management from firsthand experience.
Adult and geriatric expertise. As an AGPCNP, I specialize in caring for adults across the lifespan, especially older adults with complex medical needs. Students learn how to treat the whole patient — not just the diagnosis.
Clinical confidence and critical thinking. I teach students how to connect symptoms, imaging, labs, patient history, and physical exam findings to make sound clinical decisions.
Career mentorship. Whether students want to become nurses, NPs, PAs, medical professionals, or simply strengthen their healthcare knowledge, I can provide guidance on clinical skills, professionalism, charting, patient interaction, and navigating healthcare careers.
A supportive learning environment. I understand what it’s like to be a student entering healthcare. My goal is to make learning practical, engaging, approachable, and applicable to real patient care.
Students deserve to learn from someone actively practicing medicine every day — someone who understands both the science and the human side of patient care. My experience in primary care, orthopedics, surgery, and adult-gerontology allows me to offer a well-rounded, high-impact learning experience that prepares students for real healthcare settings.
