About Morven
I recently graduated with distinction from a top 10 university in the USA, where I was also a teaching assistant to a well-regarded professor who teaches anthropology. As part of that job I led a graded discussion section once a week, graded essay papers and weekly assignments, providing feedback as well.
Before that, I was a student sitting the same exams you will be! I love geography and found it a really fun subject in school. Same with biology. Those subjects were something I looked forward to... but not every subject was like that. For me, I really struggled with physics so I know that overwhelming feeling of just not getting a topic. Sometimes it's the teacher or maybe it's just a subject you don't like.
Unfortunately, you don't get much choice in school, so I want you to start to actually enjoy the subjects you're taking. We'll work together to prepare you for your exams and help you feel confident rather than being weighed down by stress.

Having gone through these exams myself, I focus on National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
I am experienced in grading assignments and exams, providing ongoing feedback and supporting students' learning at a university level.
Lessons are for anyone who can benefit from tutoring; whether you want some extra preparation before an exam, or maybe you find yourself feeling overwhelmed from the start. We can tailor your lessons to your needs - for most people, I suggest starting in smaller chunks, so lessons can be from 30-60 minutes.
I take everyone as an individual case, where we talk through what you're struggling with, come up with goals and a timeline of how we'll achieve them. Usually this will be through a mixture of past papers and conversations about the topics within the curriculum.
