About Natalie

I started my journey as a homeschooler. I went to public school in high school but the majority of my life for elementary and middle school was all self-reliant and getting myself focused and ready to learn no matter how hard the subject was. When I started high school I tested out of 11th grade, English, science, and history classes in 9th grade. And this only happened because I loved school so much. I would study through the summer just to be ahead. I realized as a kid, through homeschooling that I had a passion for teaching and knew I would want to my entire life. During my high school years, I became a teacher’s assistant and eventually tested out of my first two years of general education in college because I was ahead of the curve. As an adult, I studied and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. But my heart wanted to explore the arts. So I followed my dreams and pursued education at the Second City. The Second City is one of the most well-known comedy schools in the US. People from Saturday Night Live graduated from that school and I knew I wanted to be a part of the magic of bringing laughter in this world. I learned, screenwriting, acting, improv, comedy, musical comedy, stand-up, and so much more. That training led me to work for institutions like Netflix, Yahoo, CBS, the Oscars just to name a few. During my life as an artist, I also was studying hypnotherapy where I learned how to integrate conscious study habits that promote positive thinking and release stress. I believe that my full spectrum of knowledge in science, communications, and the arts sets me apart from your average tutor. I’m also fluent in Spanish, it was my first language. I’m And I have spent many years tutoring, others to become fluent as well.

About the lesson

I have equally studied at university as much as I have as an artist. I love to experiment and work with both the left and right side of the brain when tutoring and find what your best learning style is. I have studied hypnotherapy for 10 years and I know how to apply conscious studying exercises to the learning process so that I can help you release stress when learning feels overwhelming. Most of all, I am here to support and help you find your spark and passion to learn the hard stuff with confidence. I am a student of life, and I will always be expanding my knowledge, including working with you. I look forward to being your guide in your education journey.
