About Jonathan

I am a passionate musician who likes to listen to all kinds of music and research their songwriting compositions. I am a guitar tutor for oblique arts and North Cambridge community partnership charity organisations. I specialize in the guitar, I, however, can also play the bass and drums along with vocals. I am mainly a songwriter, hence my curiosity in analyzing how other musicians write has always been a joyous and interesting process. If a student is also curious about songwriting and needs some inspiration on theirs I am very happy to help with that as well. I am patient and will take my time to see and listen to the issues if a student struggles to figure out what they are trying to learn. This has aided me in learning how to create a more personalized lesson tailored for them to help grow their confidence.

About the lesson

If there is a pacific song a student would like to learn, I will break it down and dissect the song into sections where it can be easier to learn and appreciate the process of how the composition was crafted. Understand and introduce music theory (basic) that was needed to create it and how other instruments helped to enhance the song. Create exercises to help the student to find new methods to practice and improve their skill

The lesson will tend to last about an hour. If it takes a little longer there will be no extra charge.

Higher Diploma in Guitar, graduated from Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford. I tutored in London for 2 years before moving.

My lessons are available between the ages of 10 - 20 (older people who are beginners are also welcome!). Levels from beginner to intermediate.
