About Michelle

I am a photographer, performer and artist. I want to teach to support my studies to become an art therapist, as well as being at a place in my life where I now have a wealth of knowledge and learning in photography, mental health and philosophy to share! Throughout my own studies I lacked the help of a mentor or someone who had real life knowledge I could relate with, that could bring perspective, knowledge and guidance to help me achieve my potential. I am excited to do this for others.

About the lesson

I’m guided by the individual and your course demands and interests. My methodology is fluid, it is one that can be shaped by your individual goals. Through asking the relevant questions we can explore the why and how we can tackle your thesis or project challenges, and I will share my knowledge gained through my experience studying at BA and MA level, along with my continued professional practice. My teaching is suitable for anyone who is studying at MA level and below, or who is simply interested in gaining perspective from psychoanalysis, philosophy and photography in their work. I can also teach the practical elements of photography and art making to a commercial level. Although I am new to teaching, I am experienced in facilitating mindfulness in schools and youth centres, and as such I come from a mental health informed place.
