About Jake
I have worked as a software engineer for the past 6+ years and have built great rapport with all my past and present colleagues. I have worked in multiple industries including finance and healthcare IT systems as such I have great respect for privacy but also service. I really have a passion in supporting more people in to the software development world as we become an evermore digital economy, this passion is doubly so when speaking about getting more females and people of colour to work in the industry.

The typical length of a lesson will be 1-2 hours to allow for me to be able to impart knowledge and support any work the individual is completing. The first lesson will always involve understanding the level of the tutee, what the goals are and how best I can support them.
I like to treat each tutee with respect (and like an adult should the tutee be of school age). My lessons are for all ages and levels and will draw on my experiencein both education and the professional world to give a well rounded feeling.
