About Alexis

I am highly passionate about teaching and helping my students succeed! I believe that learning music is important for all students, since skills such as collaboration and creativity are developed, and these are skills that benefit students for the rest of their lives. Last May, I graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics. I have taught flute lessons since 2022, and I also have been tutoring math since 2018. I have also been a flute mentor for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Youth Ensembles since 2022.

About the lesson

When I meet a new student, we will make a list of both short and long-term goals, as well as overall plans on how to achieve them. Afterwards, I cater my lesson plans to fit these goals. I teach students ranging from beginner to high school level.
