About Emmanuel
I graduated from UNC-Pembroke in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in music business, with an emphasis on jazz and commercial music. Currently am finishing my master's degree in jazz studies performance at North Carolina Central University. During my time at NCCU, I taught private music lessons for 3 years at 2 music schools
- Bach to Rock Music School of America (Apex, NC)
- Notasium (Durham and Cary, NC)
At both schools, I taught a variety of instruments including the listed concepts above, in addition to starting and leading a few rock bands and a pop band!
The goal is to inspire creativity through learning of the history of whatever music you enjoy, and eventually songwriting in similar styles such as classical, jazz and more popular genres like pop, hip-hop and rock.

Approach of learning through connection and connectivity!
This means I enjoy teaching musical concepts and want you to enjoy learning the music skills with the music you love.
This ranges through various genres including:
- Jazz
- Pop
- Rock
- Hip-Hop
- Country
30 minute lessons are broken up into 3 parts
- Warm Up (scales)
- Main Focus (includes etudes, duets, band tunes, etc.)
- Creativity Session (jams, improv or songwriting)
These lessons are specifically designed for beginners and intermediate students, but students from all levels are welcome!

Perfect! Communication and great energy
