Laura is a phenomenal and very attentive teacher! From the very first lesson, Laura listens to what students want to get out of lessons and works with them to set some goals to guide the rest of their lessons. She is very good at taking a collaborative approach in her teaching. She also regularly follows up after each lesson with a written summary of what was covered, and she includes additional exercises that expand on topics. She's also good at providing a range of level-appropriate materials so that challenges are manageable and engaging. On top of that, her professionalism and easy-going nature make her teaching environment very welcoming. I strongly recommend her!

Laura is a fantastic teacher! I’m coming back to the violin after nearly 10 years, and she’s been so patient and explained things very clearly. In addition to our informative lessons, she sends great summaries with exercises and things to practice. I feel like she’s helping me identify and break the bad habits I developed when I learned violin the first time. And, she’s super friendly, timely, flexible, and a blast to work with! Highly recommend Laura to anyone (of any skill level) looking to improve at viola or violin!

Laura is an amazing teacher! She is very easygoing, but also keeps me on task during lessons. She’s very patient, and able to very quickly figure out what’s going wrong when I’m playing. Honestly, just overall a great player and a great teacher!
