About Angeline

As an International Baccalaureate graduate scoring in the top percentile globally (42/45), I bring a strong record of academic excellence combined with a supportive, structured teaching style. Having served as a dedicated peer tutor for two years and worked directly with young learners through school internships and childcare, I understand that academic success is built on clear communication, patience, and genuine encouragement.

My goal is not only to help students achieve higher marks, but to help them develop independent problem-solving skills, structured study routines, and long-term academic confidence. Whether helping a primary student overcome math anxiety or guiding a high school student through challenging biological systems, I provide a dependable, highly organized, and positive learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs.

About the lesson

I believe that confidence in both math and science comes from truly understanding core fundamentals rather than rote memorization.

My lessons follow a structured two-step framework:

Step 1: Concept Mastery: I break down complex topics into clear, step-by-step concepts using intuitive explanations and visual aids so students stay engaged.

Step 2: Guided Practice to Independent Problem-Solving: Once the core concept clicks, I immediately transition into targeted practice questions, starting with guided walkthroughs and moving to independent problem-solving to reinforce their understanding.

Lessons typically run for 45 minutes to 1 hour, which provides the ideal balance to maintain high focus, cover new material, and consolidate concepts through active practice without causing fatigue.

Qualifications & Mentoring Experience
Academic Background: International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma graduate from SJI International (Singapore) with an overall score of 42/45 (Grade 7 in Mathematics, Grade 7 in higher level Chemistry, and Grade 6 in Higher Level Biology).

Tutoring Background: 2 years of active peer tutoring experience in high school Biology and Mathematics, helping students bridge gaps in syllabus understanding and prepare for assessments.

Classroom & Youth Experience: Practical background interning in a school and working in childcare, giving me the patience, communication skills, and adaptability needed to keep younger learners motivated and encouraged.

Who My Lessons Are For
Primary School Students (Years 1–6): Foundational Mathematics (core arithmetic, times tables, word problems, and confidence building).

Senior High Students (Years 11–12 / IB ): Biology

All lessons are fully tailored to each student’s current school curriculum, pace, and specific learning goals.
