About Tee
I have been tutoring virtually for the past year, and I have seen a lot of success with my students. I have a bachelor’s degree in Zoology, and I am currently working on my master’s/Ph.D in Environmental Toxicology where I study the impact of agricultural chemicals on populations of butterflies and migratory birds. I have been in higher education for the past 10 years. Throughout that time, I have taken a multitude of courses, so I am very confident in a wide number of subjects. I primarily focus on math and science topics, but there are others that I am confident in, so please do not hesitate to ask. My philosophy is that students learn best when they are working with someone with who they are comfortable and when hands-on approaches are used. I structure my tutoring services around getting to know my students so they are confident and comfortable with me as well as ensuring that during our sessions, students are actually doing the work themselves and gaining confidence and independence. My primary hope is that you will leave our sessions feeling good about the material and confident that you will be able to tackle the material on your own in the future.
I currently reside in Texas with my fiancée, Kylie, our 3 dogs, Abbey, Zeus, and Shiner, our cat, Charlie, and our bearded dragon, Stark. During my free time, I enjoy music, podcasts, traveling, video games, plants and gardening, cooking, movies, and spending time with my friends and family.

Lessons are 1 hour long. My goal as a tutor is to make sure you are comfortable with the material within our session and outside of our session. I emphasize a "hands-on" approach even when doing online tutoring sessions as I believe students learn best when they are the ones actually doing the work. I leave the floor open for mistakes, but I will always guide you in the correct direction while allowing you to learn from your mistakes.
During our session, you can expect to be asked questions. However, I operate in a no-judgment zone, so saying "I don't know" is still a correct answer in my sessions. I structure my sessions around your current concerns, and we work together to help you understand the topics through examples and practice that I have you work through with guidance.
My approach to tutoring is different than others as I allow you to run the sessions. I will never just lecture to you in a tutoring session as tutoring is supposed to be supplementary to your lectures in class. Instead, we will work through actual problems and discuss what it is you struggle with.
I tutor middle school, high school, and college students (including adult students who have returned to school).
