About Alicia
Patient, calm, understanding, and soft-spoken are a few of the qualities I uphold as a teacher. I am a very positive, optimistic, and relatable person. Building relationships, rapport, and trust with my students are definitely a few of my strong points. Effective communication is extremely important to me. I want to ensure you as a student are being heard and understood exactly what it is about the concept you may be struggling with, or need a little bit of extra explanation on. MATH. IS. FUN. Color coding lessons (because math makes sense in color and is wayyy more fun in color), differentiating instruction, and making content relatable to my students is my specialty. Tailoring lessons to meet the student at their current level while incorporating simple ways to remember the information, as well as building confidence within the student is truly my passion.
