I try and lead with example-based learning, using real compounds and macromolecules to explain theory and build a strong foundation for learning. I start lessons by talking with the student to get an idea of what they're learning currently and where they're struggling. I then develop a lesson plan based on that. Teach high school and college-level biochemistry.
