About Ty
Hello! My name is Taylan Bakken. I am a passionate educator and software engineer specializing in computer science, programming languages, and game development.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts and Game Development from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. My academic background is rooted in hands-on creation, which includes participating in in-house game jams as an active member of the GAMED organization.
Currently, I work as a Gameplay Engineer at Absolutely Not Games, where I collaborate with cross-functional teams to build complex systems and robust programming structures within the Unity engine.

A typical lesson plan depends on your level of understanding in Unity. This could include anything from basics, to step-by-step guides in creating your own prototypes, to high-level concepts like networking.

My lessons are meant for anyone with the passion and willingness to learn game development, mainly targeted towards middle schoolers and upwards but some exceptions may be made.
