Lorissa is one of the most patient, intentional, kind and respectful human beings who is eager to support others. It is crucial in academic support to have someone who is willing to meet you where you are and Lorissa has no problem doing that. She is quick to assess the situation, understand a learners concerns and strengths. While Lorissa is rich in knowledge, she never made me feel like I was less than or was not able to measure up to her. She empowered me as a learner to give myself grace, make mistakes and know that she was there every step of the way. She was patient and understanding when I’d become frustrated with not understanding certain topics. She’s very thorough and supported me with direct help, but also went above and beyond to teach me time management skills, study habits, and tools I can use in the future across a multitude of subjects.
