About Sophie
Hi! My name’s Sophie, I’m 22 and new to the tutoring scene- but I’ll hopefully be your tutor :) I’m a graduate of the University of Wollongong, with a Bachelor of Arts- majoring in Japanese. During my studies I even lived in Japan for about 7 months in Kobe! I’m very keen to share my knowledge of this wonderful country and its language as I enjoy helping others in fun and creative ways, and especially sharing my passion with others. Whether you’re a slow learner or a fast paced learner, one thing living in Japan taught me was to be adaptable, so I can adapt to whatever style or learning speed you prefer!

I have very flexible hours so can be accommodating to your availabilities. I’m very friendly and patient, and keen to answer any questions so take your time learning and don’t feel rushed! I’ll be teaching beginners- so all the fun stuff like vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and basic writing. If you like learning games, spelling bees, quizzes and the like I’m the tutor for you! Of course if you have any preferred methods of learning that work best for you, let me know and I’ll accommodate to your needs.

Sophie is super friendly and can make anyone feel comfortable in her presence. Soph has majored in Japanese which included 6 months living in Kobe university as a self funded student immersing herself in the culture.
