About Caleb
My work requires me to hold and maintain a high level of security clearance, meaning thorough background checks.
I studied Aeronautical Engineering at Loughborough University, now working in a somewhat "hush, hush" sort of company. Learning and education have helped me build a life for myself and fund the life/lifestyle I want to live. I love to travel, go to the beach most weekends even if it's a 2hr drive and go surfing/paddleboarding/spearfishing and all the other hobbies I do. What I've learnt is life isn't cheap. Money is not and should not be a priority, but everyone needs money. To do things you are passionate about, you will need some amount of money with some left over in the bank. Education is what will help you achieve that financial stability to do whatever you are passionate about that helps you enjoy life!

If you were to hear about my childhood and background, you could say I came from the lowest of lows. Education has played a big part in bringing me from that low to where I am now. Having this appreciation, I want to provide the same opportunity to those eager-minded souls out there. Education is not just about how well one can count and solve complex equations; it is a skill that enables you to thrive in life, go places, and fulfil the goals you have. This is the legacy I want to pass on, especially to those who are under-supported and have had difficult upbringings. This is what I will try to pass on in my lessons. Applying the problems to real life and making it seem relatable and useful to the student. Understanding the problem is 90% of the solution. Thus, understanding how the student thinks and realising the specifics of where they struggle is a priority in helping them succeed. I have previous experience tutoring 2 students for their GCSEs, and 1 mature student for her Functional Skills Exam, and have had great responses. In particular, my methods of teaching percentages. As of current, I will be taking on students up to GCSE level.

Caleb is a highly skilled guitarist with lots of experience from playing in church bands and his own band, in a wide range of genres. He's also played and is familiar with genres from varied cultures - from Reggae to Bollywood. This is to say he can cater to your varied preferences in genres, music styles, and tastes. Also, in his personality, he's chilled and down-to-earth, making him a great teacher to learn from in a relaxed setting that's nevertheless productive for learning.
I've had the pleasure of learning guitar from Caleb through our jam sessions. As someone with very little music theory knowledge, I found his teaching style incredibly approachable. He has a talent for simplifying concepts and focusing on practical skills, making learning both enjoyable and effective.
Thanks to Caleb's guidance, I've learned several chords and can now play some of my favourite songs. He's patient, knowledgeable, and great at adapting his teaching to the student's level. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn guitar.View more recommendations
