About Jay
I have studied more than ten languages to varying levels, with especially high degrees of confidence and demonstrable skills in Portuguese, Spanish and Japanese. I have both learned languages and studied their inner workings linguistically, so I am particularly aware of the unique challenges English speakers face when studying Spanish. Having learned Spanish for almost three years, there have been plenty of native speakers I have never spoken English with. I will make it my utmost priority to facilitate the same results for you!

As a lover of languages who has spent much of his life studying languages (both personally and academically), I understand the struggles that come with learning a language - especially learning one for the first time. My mission is to teach my students both the language itself AND to help them find enjoyable ways to hone their skills. It is my hope that my students will later be able to apply the skills and advice I share with them to future languages they study!
