About Mary

I am an experienced Spanish tutor with 15 years of teaching high school and college students. I have worked with around 150 students and guided them towards better communication skills and academic success. My teaching philosophy is based on simplicity, consistency, and support. I teach vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and conversation using a step-by-step approach. My lessons include practical examples and fun activities that help students stay interested in learning. I also encourage them to speak and practice Spanish without fear, because confidence grows with practice. A major achievement for me is seeing students who once felt unprepared now perform well in exams and participate confidently in class discussions. Their progress motivates me every day. My goal is to make Spanish learning comfortable and enjoyable for all students. I work at their pace and help them grow through clear explanation and steady practice.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for Spanish follows five important values: Communication, Flexibility, Creativity, Accountability, and Integrity. I aim to make Spanish simple, practical, and confidence-building for every student. Communication is encouraged in every session. Students speak Spanish through daily conversations, role-play activities, storytelling, and speaking drills. Listening tasks help improve understanding and accent. Flexibility helps me adjust lessons based on student level and learning purpose. Whether a student is preparing for school exams, competitive tests, travel, or professional use, I design lessons accordingly. Creativity makes learning enjoyable and stress-free. I use fun activities, language games, videos, songs, pictures, and cultural topics to keep students engaged. These creative methods make learning effective and long-lasting. Accountability is maintained through regular assignments, practice sheets, oral tests, and revision sessions. I guide students to stay consistent and focused on improvement. Integrity guides my teaching behaviour. I follow ethical teaching practices, give honest feedback, and respect every student equally. Along with Spanish speaking skills, I also teach grammar rules, vocabulary building, sentence formation, pronunciation improvement, reading comprehension, writing skills, listening practice, Spanish culture, and exam preparation.
