About Mariyam

I graduated with a BSc honours degree in Psychology with Criminology.
I have over 10 years teaching experience in the humanities department. I also have over 15 years experience working with children in non academic settings.
I am a specialist in Psychology and Sociology A-level tuition, revision and exam preparation/technique. I have taught A-level and GCSE for over 10 years and have marked exams papers for various examining boards.

About the lesson

These will be group sessions focussing on AQA sociology/AQA Psychology (Different days).
Sessions will be interactive and students will be able to attempt practice questions. We will focus on answering exam questions and knowing the marking criteria.

Structure of sessions:
The sessions will start with a short recap on a particular topic
An exam question for the topic will be shown to the students.
We will look at how to interpret, structure and answer exam questions.
Students will have a chance to plan out the essay and share with the group.
Students will be asked to write one paragraph of the essay and group feedback will be provided.
Model answers will be provided and common errors highlighted.
PowerPoint will be emailed to the students after the session.
