About Alvaro
I'm a student pilot, who attained top grades both at GCSE and A levels, specifically 4 A stars in Further Mathematics, Physics, Mathematics and Spanish. Alongside my studies I have participated in many extracurricular competitions such as UK Youth Rocketry Challenge, several Mathematics Olympiads and many more.

My teaching style is clear, patient, and tailored to each individual student, with a strong focus on building both confidence and understanding. I break down complex maths concepts into simple, manageable steps, making sure students fully grasp the “why” behind each method rather than just memorising procedures. Lessons are structured but flexible, adapting to the student’s pace and areas of difficulty, whether they are preparing for SATs, KS3 assessments, or GCSE exams. I use a mix of guided practice, exam-style questions, and regular feedback to track progress and reinforce learning, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves to improve.
