About Amara

My passion for guitar began from admiration for live performance, songwriting, and expressive instrumental music during my early years. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music before earning a PhD in Guitar Performance Studies. Over the last 12 years, I have helped students strengthen musical confidence through supportive teaching and practical learning methods.

I focus on creating lessons that fit different learning styles, confidence levels, and musical goals. Some students improve through repetition and technical practice, while others respond better to improvisation and creative exploration. My teaching style combines patience, encouragement, and musical freedom so students can improve comfortably while building strong guitar skills.

Outside teaching, I enjoy composing instrumental music, recording arrangements, and exploring different guitar genres and techniques. Staying connected to music helps me introduce fresh and inspiring ideas into lessons. Teaching guitar is deeply rewarding because I enjoy helping students discover creativity and confidence through music.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons are designed to help students develop strong playing ability through practical exercises and creative musical exploration. I teach chord progressions, rhythm techniques, fingerstyle playing, scales, improvisation, ear training, and performance preparation using guided activities that make learning approachable and enjoyable. Lessons focus on improving coordination, creativity, and confidence while creating a supportive musical environment.

Beginners improve through chord transition practice, simple strumming exercises, and guided rhythm activities that gradually strengthen foundational guitar skills. Intermediate learners develop stronger finger control, improvisation ability, and timing consistency through structured repertoire and technical drills. Advanced students focus on expressive solo playing, advanced techniques, and polished performance preparation with deeper musical understanding. I also include collaborative playing activities and listening exercises that help students improve naturally.

Guitar becomes more rewarding when students understand musical expression instead of only memorizing patterns mechanically. My lessons encourage creativity, patience, and independent growth while helping learners improve steadily. I want students to become more expressive, skilled, and confident while enjoying the process of making music.
