About Heather
Beginners and intermediate players often find themselves stuck in the same repetitive patterns for years. I have spent 7 years guiding musicians past those barriers using the ear training and chord transition methods I studied at the University of North Texas. My career has spanned 13 years of gigging in rock and blues clubs throughout the Boston area.
Professional performance informs how I teach everything from basic tuning to electric technique. Teaching has become the highlight of my schedule since I started 7 years ago. Reach out if you want to chat about blues progressions sometime.

A free trial session is the standard starting point for our work together. Assessing your current skill level allows me to build a path that respects the deep traditions of blues legends like Buddy Guy.
We will utilize my BMus degree background to ensure you understand the mechanics behind every note you play. Learning guitar is a marathon rather than a sprint for most people. I focus on steady progress and a clear understanding of instrument maintenance during these 9 total minutes of specific assessment. It brings me genuine joy to share the music that shaped my life.
