About Sam
Raised in Barnsley, my mum (a woodwind tutor) introduced me to music performance from a young age. I started learning guitar at the age of 8, achieving my Grade 8 at 15. I then attended Leeds College of Music, where I attained 3 distinction *s in Popular Music and received an award for having the highest grades that academic year. I later moved to Manchester to study Creative Music Technology at the University of Salford. I have now finished this degree and I am currently back in Barnsley, set to graduate in the Summer with a predicted First.

I am confident teaching guitar to anyone from beginner to intermediate. I am a relaxed teacher, who can adapt my teaching approach to suit individual need. I also feel that it is important to engage the student into each lesson by working together towards what they want to gain from their lessons.
