About Alexis
Music theory provides the framework for every session. I emphasize clarity and direct communication in all our technical work. Strumming patterns and complex soloing are broken down into manageable segments.
My BMus training informs how I explain the mechanics of the guitar. We will address your specific technical hurdles with grace.
I focus on developing your ability to play with intention. Each lesson is built on 5 years of classroom experience. I prioritize consistent progress in a comfortable environment.
You can expect a calm and supportive atmosphere in our meetings. I look forward to supporting your musical development.

Teaching is a quiet process that reveals so much about a student. With a BMus in hand and 13 years of performing experience, I guide learners through the complexities of the fretboard. Over 5 years of instruction, I have helped 308 students navigate their goals.
My background includes classical and folk traditions across Canada. I find joy in teaching electric and acoustic technique to kids and adults alike.
Improvisation and blues progressions are core areas of my expertise. You will find my teaching style to be highly structured and reliable. I aim to keep the learning process clear and enjoyable for everyone.
