About Tom

Hi! I’m Tom, a guitarist, music producer, mixing engineer and songwriter based in London.

I offer one-on-one guitar, music production and mixing lessons online and in person; travelling to the student or hosting in my studio located in Brixton, London.

I am extremely passionate about music, and I endeavour to make sure my students feel supported and excited about progressing with their craft and reaching their goals! Between our lessons I’ll send you personalised resources that I think might be helpful, and if you have any questions I am just a call away.

ABOUT ME:

I joined the music industry 9 years ago playing lead guitar in multiple bands. Soon after I began producing and mixing music for artists across the UK, US, Denmark and Sweden. My main passion lies in the pop, indie and alternative genres. Over the last year, I studied a Masters degree in Commercial Music Production at the prestigious Tileyard London, receiving a Distinction. I built a comprehensive network and worked on writing camps for Sigala and Ella Eyre. Previously, I received a BSc 1st Class Honours in Audio and Recording Technology from De Montfort University, Leicester.

5 years spent in an indie rock band rose the opportunity to record in world renowned recording studios ‘Rockfield’ and ‘Monnow Valley’, and also tour the UK supporting acts including ‘Catfish & The Bottlemen’, ‘The View’ and ‘Steve Craddock’ of Ocean Colour Scene/Paul Weller.

Recently I had a track I produced, mixed and mastered pitched to Eurovision 2023. I have produced and mixed for esteemed music publishers GL Music and RoastingHouse Music based in Copenhagen and Malmö, who have racked up countless chart-topping singles. Projects I have worked on have received over 300,000 streams on Spotify, and been highly supported by BBC Introducing, being named ‘Track of the week’ numerous times. Songs I have produced and mixed have piqued the interest of Radio 1 and Sony PlayStation, with a multitude of national radio stations showing their support.

I am very honoured to be a VIP Ambassador for Sontronics.

About the lesson

I am a Guitarist, Music Producer and Mixing Engineer based in London, with an MA (Distinction) in Commercial Music Production from Tileyard London, and a BSc (1st Class) in Audio and Recording Technology.

As a guitar teacher, I believe in tailoring my lessons towards the needs and goals of each student. I ensure my students are kept engaged, interested and challenged by finding out what they are hoping to achieve from their lessons and basing my teaching on this. Whether you wish to learn your favourite songs, understand scales, learn new chords, study technical skills or anything else; I'll help you to improve and progress with your instrument.

I can provide electric and acoustic guitar teaching, with my lessons being aimed towards helping beginners and intermediates reach their goals. I can teach a variety of genres including Rock, Pop and Blues.

Lessons can be either online over Zoom/Discord or in person. I can travel to the student, or host at my studio in Brixton, London.
