About Rosetta
I have a degree in ESL, Spanish and English. I have been teaching in Ottawa for 20 years.
I have lived in the Dominican Republic which was a wonderful experience. Completely immersed in the culture, I refined my Spanish, learned the merengue, bachata and salsa.
I have travelled extensively to South America, such as Venezuela, Cuba, Panama, and Mexico.In 2017 I had the privilege of bringing a group of students to Nicaragua to volunteer in a community. We helped build a playground for a school and we met many wonderful locals who taught us the history of Nicaragua. We also met a women's group who are empowering themselves by making jewellery. We also went to a coffee and pineapple plantation to learn how Nicaragua is sustaining and improving its economy. This was a trip of a lifetime for me and my students
