About Yekaterina
I love math—I’m a bit of a nerd about it! I used to spend hours solving algebra equations just for fun. Teaching has always been a passion of mine as well. I suppose I’ve naturally always been the “helper” and “problem-solver” type of person.
I have nearly 20 years of experience tutoring math and other subjects on a case-by-case basis. Some of my students have worked with me long-term, while others only needed a few sessions to get through a particular challenge.
I understand that finding the right tutor can make all the difference. Every learner is unique, and each student may need a different level of attention, explanation, and approach. My goal is to meet students where they are, figure out how they learn best, and help them build both understanding and confidence along the way.

I typically re-teach lessons using existing worksheets, class materials, or specific concepts that a student is struggling to understand. I also use a whiteboard and Microsoft Teams to walk through examples step-by-step, and textbooks can be an excellent resource for finding additional examples and explanations.
What sets me apart is my ability to make even the more boring or difficult concepts memorable. I like to come up with funny, creative ways to remember formulas, rules, and processes so that students have something they can connect with and recall later.
My specialty is working with students in grades 8–12, college-level students, and adult learners. I enjoy adapting my approach to each individual student and finding the explanation or method that finally makes a challenging concept click.
