About Connie

I am a French-Algerian who has lived in the UK for most of my life. I have been passionate about languages from an early age and I love being able to offer personalised lessons to tutees and helping them achieve whatever language goals they have. I love tutoring in particular because you can really focus on your tutee's specific needs in a way that is not possible in a classroom. It has been fantastic to see my students gain confidence in speaking French and being able to take part in different cultures as a result.

When I am not teaching languages, I translate from my languages into English and specialise in translation for charities, research projects, and NGOs.

About the lesson

I gear all my teaching towards the needs and interests of my tutees. Whether you are looking to pass an exam or improve your language skills more broadly, I will design teaching materials specific to your language goals. These materials will not only cover grammar and vocabulary, but also francophone music, films, literature and more, to help you fully immerse yourself in French!

I am flexible with the length of lessons and offer 30 minute or 1 hour slots.

I have 10 years experience of tutoring French, Spanish and English. I have also taught French in nurseries, international NGOs and I have been an English Language Assistant at a secondary school in France.

I have helped students pass their National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher, GCSE, A-Level, DELF and university oral examinations.
