About Babatunde
I have acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of Mental Health Nursing. My qualifications include a Mental Health Nursing PgDip, and a Psychology BSc (Hons). My current area of professional practice involves providing senior clinical leadership to a team delivering care to individuals who have mental illnesses within an emergency setting. Teaching and providing a therapeutic learning environment are of huge importance to me. As required in my current clinical practice, I have been able to develop and participate in teaching/assessment programmes and learning resources for staff in general hospitals, students, patients, relatives/carers, and allied agencies. Furthermore, on an individual level I am also able to facilitate a learning environment conducive to the acquisition of further knowledge and skills. I have experience in mentoring nursing students in a role as a practice assessor, which involves identifying their knowledge and skills gaps which tailors their learning in a way that is positive, engaging, and conducive to their immediate level of understanding, whilst providing feedback to their academic lecturers. I believe that everyone has the capacity to learn and develop, my aim is to tailor learning opportunities specific to their needs whilst providing an environment that allows for constructive and thoughtful engagement. The support I can provide includes tutoring and mentoring in, coursework submissions, exam preparations, placement practice, interview application, and preparation.

My teaching methodology involves initially identifying the student's learning needs and then guiding them to achieve their goals by incorporating cognitive, collaborative, competency and problem-based techniques whilst ensuring this is tailored to the individual needs of each student. 1-2 hours should be sufficient to discuss the subject matter that needs to be addressed and develop an appropriate programme. The lessons I provide will be most suited for students studying in the field of mental health nursing. However, my lessons can also be applicable to students studying within healthcare. I can tutor students studying at various academic levels these include, A Level, undergraduate, diploma and masters.
