About Victor
Usually students fall in one of two cases: those who want to learn about specific topics, and those who need a more general review of the whole content. I have had contact with both types of student and I know how to prepare classes directed to each. Besides, for programming classes I usually not only make the student program at least a little in the class itself, but I try to make the person understand exactly which are the difficulties that are holding him back. When students discover what is hindering their learning and see that it is in fact something which they can feasibly tackle (instead of labeling the content itself as "unlearnable"), a new motivation emerges and enables the student to improve amazingly fast.

I am a Computer Science student with a Master's degree in Computer Science awarded by the University of São Paulo, and I will start a PhD in CS next semester. Throughout my master's I was teaching assistant (T.A.) of many basic and advanced undergraduate and graduate courses at USP, ranging from courses on algorithms and data structures to linear optimization and algorithm analysis. Besides having a great deal of experience in giving classes on both basic and advanced CS topics, I love to teach, and one should not expect a class of mine being boring :).
