Music never felt like a career choice until I started gigging across Australia. Spending 13 years on stage revealed that playing guitar is often more about listening than hitting notes.
My Bachelor of Arts in Music and Spanish from the University of Melbourne provides the theory behind my practice. After 11 years of teaching, I understand why players get stuck on barre chords or struggle with scales and modes. My approach centers on helping self-taught players find actual structure in their progress. I emphasize ear training and improvisation to ensure you are not just reading tabs but feeling the music.
We can work through complex power chords or focus on clean lead guitar phrasing. It is my job to bridge the gap between hobbyist playing and refined technical skill. You will find my style patient as we build your foundation together.
