About Lia
I am a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa where I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I also have two years of experience working at an after-school program providing one-on-one and group support for children who needed school and homework help.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and working through challenges at their own pace.
I enjoy working with children and helping them feel more confident in their abilities. I understand that every child learns differently, so I aim to make my lessons flexible and adapt them to each student's needs and learning style.

I can teach children from the ages of 5-13, my lessons will be tailored to your child's specific needs.
A typical lesson would involve...
- A check in: discuss how your child has been since the last meeting, how they have been feeling about the material we cover, and any specific difficulties they may be having.
- Review: spend some time going over the previously discussed difficulties if necessary.
Main lesson: cover new material, prep for any tests or assessments which may be coming up.
Wrap up: review what we worked on, answer any questions they might have, provide practice questions if necessary
I am flexible, caring, and passionate about helping each child learn in a way that works best for them and build confidence along the way.
