About Bartek

I am a surveyor authorized with many years of experience, both in working with construction and road industries, as well as with industries dealing with spatial planning. My experience with teaching a CAD program may not be impressive, but it is quite interesting. I conducted several courses for a group of surveyors during my work in Oslo. The course was conducted in English and the opinions exceeded my expectations. There are some opinions on this topic on my LinkedIN page. In addition, I trained many people individually in my work, and that's why I think I can try to pass on knowledge about it.

About the lesson

In my opinion, the best teaching method is actual work in the industry. Since I have no way of employing a person to work, I can present a drawing that we will strive for to be completed. I think that the method taken from geodesy "from general to detailed" is an ideal method of working in other industries. I believe that the most effective work is working on keyboard shortcuts, so from the beginning I will try to introduce this habit. The course will take place in the order that a person chooses and it can be depending on the level of advancement, e.g. 1. Getting to know the CAD environment along with its general settings and commands 2. Teaching basic commands 3. Common drawing step by step. 4. Short tests during work. 5. Possible home tasks during which the person will be able to learn about the new possibilities of the program. Despite my considerable experience, sometimes it happens that I learn new functions or commands from other people, or just remind myself of them, that's why my learning process will never end and so as not to stop developing my skills, I use public forums AutoCAD, which is great at describing how to solve a given problem. I am also going to teach you how to use this type of help. As a teacher, I try to adapt the curriculum to the student's knowledge and skills. Sometimes it may take longer than it seems due to the use of CAD in various industries. I try to do a short test beforehand with short answers that direct me to a good teaching path for a given person, hence I adapt lessons to beginners as well as those more demanding.
