About Mariela
"Teaching violin requires a balance of technical rigor and patient listening. I treat every technical hurdle with the same clarity I applied during my 12 years of performance study.
Holding a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium, I appreciate the discipline required for classical repertoire and left hand agility. Over the course of my career, I have guided 284 students toward achieving their goals in orchestral playing or grade exam prep like ABRSM and Trinity. My approach focuses on rhythm, timing, shifting, and precise vibrato.
I prioritize correct posture and hold to ensure your long-term success. You will also develop ear training and internalize the feel of the music. It is a pleasure to help you navigate your journey toward musical independence."

"Bad posture often creates an invisible wall between a student and their tone. I admit that correcting these physical habits takes more time than most players expect. My background with a degree from the Queensland Conservatorium helps me spot these issues quickly. I provide a diagnostic assessment before setting the practice plan for your individual progress.
We focus on specific movements to build agility and confidence. I look forward to hearing how you progress through your scales."
