About Maxwell

Hello, I'm Max Dean, a multicultural educator who grew up between Peru and Oregon in the United States. I have recently relocated to Brighton in the UK and wish to share my knowledge and passion for language in my new home. In 2019 I graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in Romance language focusing on Spanish & Portuguese, and a Minor in Latin American Studies and Poetry. I will make lessons culturally engaging by sharing knowledge I have gained from my childhood living in Peru and the United States, as well as my travels throughout Spain and Europe. I welcome students to bring their experiences and interests to class, as I love learning from students as well. My wish is to inspire confidence in my students and provide a safe and supportive learning environment.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is conversation based. We may discuss culture, travel, or any topic a student is interested in. I work with students to increase their vocabulary and become comfortable with pronunciation in Spanish. I also cover grammar to suit the student's level of familiarity. My lessons are no longer than an hour and I am committed to being an enthusiastic, patient, and an attentive instructor.
