About Liz
With over 25 years’ experience as a Head of Art, I have taught students aged 5–18 and currently specialise in supporting GCSE and A Level Art students.
My extensive experience as a practising Head of Art means I understand not only how to develop practical skills, but also how to help students think like artists and designers — making purposeful choices, taking creative risks and developing their own visual identity.

Bespoke Art Tuition
I offer bespoke, one-to-one lessons tailored to each student’s individual interests, strengths and aspirations. Whether a student needs help developing their confidence, refining practical skills, generating ideas or preparing a portfolio, I can provide targeted support designed around their needs.
I can support students with:
* GCSE and A Level Art & Design
* Developing and refining personal ideas and creative concepts
* Portfolio preparation for school, college, university or art school applications
* Exploring and developing work across a wide range of 2D and 3D media
* Drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, printmaking, sculpture and other creative processes
* Developing stronger artist research and contextual understanding
* Finding relevant artists, craftspeople and designers to inspire and inform a student’s work
* Developing sketchbooks and supporting the journey from initial ideas through to resolved outcomes
* Building confidence, independence and creative thinking
Each session is tailored to the individual student, whether they are looking to improve their GCSE/A Level grade, strengthen their portfolio, develop a particular skill or simply become more confident and ambitious in their creative practice.
