About Emily

I have experience working with students of all ages and tutor from ages 7-17. I would absolutely love to work with your family to work towards your educational needs.

I am a Pre-Law Student studying at Boston University. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and earned the Dean's List distinction. I am fluent in Spanish (with Massachusetts Spanish Certification) and am pursuing a Spanish Minor in college.

In High School, I maintained a 4.70 GPA, passed the AP Biology and AP English Literature exams, and scored a perfect 5 on the AP English Language and Composition Exam, the AP US Government and Politics Exam, and the AP Spanish Langauge. I can assist with AP Exam prep and SAT prep for high school students.

About the lesson

A typical session will be tailored towards YOU. My ultimate goal is to help you succeed. Typically, a session involves parents/children sharing materials/ topics 24 hours beforehand so I can review them and create a personalized lesson plan (not included in the hourly cost). When the 1 on 1 lesson starts, I will begin by ensuring the child has no questions right off the bat. I then follow my lesson plan and student course material and ask the child questions to encourage analysis of the material. On a virtual platform like Zoom, I simultaneously share my screen, taking notes that the child can see as we discuss topics. These will be shared after the session. I also find that creating study guides together and discussing personalized study habits is effective in ensuring the student succeeds!

Whether your child needs help with 6th grade math class or wants to master the High School AP English Language exam, I am your tutor! I specialize in tutoring English, Math, Spanish, and Biology for all ages and can provide my professional resume. I have lots of experience working with children and tutoring.

I am very flexible with rates. Typically, I charge $16-20 per tutoring session but I work individually with families to ensure that my rate works for YOUR family.
