About Cara

To all who are keen to learn Mandarin: Hi everyone! My name is Cara, and I’m 17 years old. I’m currently a high school student studying in Australia, and I’m originally from Taiwan. As Mandarin is my first language, I’m confident that every student can achieve their goals — whether it’s to communicate confidently in Chinese or simply to learn more about the culture. Mandarin isn’t an easy language, just like English, but I truly believe that as we learn together, we’ll continue to improve and build confidence step by step. I’m sincerely happy to see more people showing interest in learning Mandarin and exploring Taiwanese and Chinese culture. I look forward to learning and growing with you all! Warm regards, Cara.

About the lesson

If you are keen to learn Mandarin, I will start from speaking lessons as it is one of the most useful skills. You will learn the right pronunciation for some daily words that might be used in real life. For writing the characters, I will teach from the basic steps. I will also use presentations to present all of the class work and a 10 mins worksheet for homework will be provided after each lesson. My teaching ways will be completely chill and fun. I am currently still in high school; however, I had some experiences of teaching at my friend's dad's high school. I made a ppt about my hometown Taiwan and taught them how to pronounce some words. My lessons are open for everyone who is interested in learning Mandarin. I am so happy that we all enjoy learning about the Chinese culture and sharing the boundaries.
