About Batrisyia
Hello! My name is Batrisyia, and I am a final-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student at the University of Melbourne. I completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Veterinary Biosciences and will graduate as a veterinarian at the end of 2026.
I have always enjoyed teaching because I know how overwhelming learning can feel, especially when concepts seem complex or unfamiliar. As a student myself, I understand the challenges of keeping up with schoolwork, preparing for exams, and building confidence in subjects that feel difficult. This is why I enjoy helping students break topics down into manageable steps and guiding them to understand the “why” behind what they are learning.
Tutoring allows me to support students not just academically, but also by helping them feel more confident and capable in their own abilities. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
I look forward to helping students grow, gain confidence, and reach their learning goals.

I have six years of tutoring experience in both Melbourne and Singapore, working with primary and high school students across for math and biology. I will be comfortable teaching primary math and primary/secondary biology.
My lessons will be held online and usually run for 45 minutes to one hour, depending on the student’s needs. I always begin by getting to know the student and asking what they would like help with. This allows us to set clear goals for each lesson and helps students feel comfortable, supported, and involved in their own learning.
When working through new topics, I typically use a two-week structure. In the first week, we focus on understanding key concepts and building a strong foundation. In the second week, we practice questions together to reinforce learning and improve confidence. I find this approach helps students retain information better and apply it more effectively in assessments.
As a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student, I am trained to analyze complex information and break it down into manageable steps. I use this same approach when tutoring, helping students understand how to unpack questions, identify what is being asked, and choose the right concepts to answer confidently.
I am also very happy to assist with homework, revision, and exam preparation as needed. My goal is to help students feel more confident, capable, and independent in their learning.
