About JP

I have experience taking and tutoring every level of Spanish from Spanish 2 to AP Spanish Language and Culture, so I am very aware of the content that these students will be learning. I have tutored for many students in the DFW area at schools like St. Mark's School of Texas and the Episcopal School of Dallas.

About the lesson

I have a very in-depth understanding of Latin American culture and regional variations of Spanish (especially Cuban Spanish given my background), something that becomes increasingly important as a student proceeds in their learning. I like to emphasize vocabulary and grammar, especially verb conjugations (preterite vs imperfect and indicative vs subjunctive). However, the most important thing is putting it into practice, and I prioritize real-life conversations to ensure preparedness.
