About ANTHONY

I currently attend Rutgers University- New Brunswick and I will be graduating with the class of '23. Go Scarlet Knights!

I have made the Deans List every year with a GPA of 3.67 and I am currently a Marketing Psychology and Supply Chain Science Double Major, specializing in Global Business.

I have tutored for various organizations, Rutgers University, local libraries, GoPeer... and received excellent feedback from my students.

The subjects I specialize in include Essay Writing, English/Spanish Comprehension, History, Economics (both Micro and Macro) and Accounting (both managerial and financial), Mathematical Courses: Statistics, Calculus 1, Algebra, and Biology/Nutrition. I can also teach Physics, Computer Science, and Chemistry but I am not the most experienced in these fields, just a heads up.

Outside of tutoring, I am an avid Marvel/ Star Wars fan, a Reggaeton and Hip Hop enthusiast, and a SoCal native from Los Angeles. I love to surf, travel, play tennis and basketball and have a good time learning about other cultures and the world around me!

About the lesson

I encourage critical thinking in our tutoring sessions. In an algebraic problem for example, I will ask my students how they obtained a certain value in a specific part of the equation to ensure their mastery in the material. I will also encourage my students to explain specific steps to me, for in the past I've seen a positive correlation between the ability to teach and content mastery.

I am also a firm believer in the idea of asking the right questions...
When going over topics of interest, I will not just explain the material but I like to ask thought-provoking questions with my students as we try to decipher difficult concepts and even compare those related to other subjects (ex: comparing a business concept to a physics theorem).

I can teach all years of education but I specialize with middle and high school students. As a fourth year student at Rutgers University- New Brunswick, I also have a wide knowledge of college courses related both to Business and STEM and I am looking forward to getting started!
