About Jorge
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and had a lot of enthusiasm to learn Japanese from a young age. I had spent a good 2 years before leaving to Japan to attend a language school in Kyoto. Shortly afterwards I decided to live in the country and have never really looked back (although I am here temporarily). I have worked professionally, have lived out the social aspects of the country, and have made personal relationships such as friends and partners throughout my years in Japan. I have tutored a number of students myself when I was in Japan, and I cannot wait to bring that experience to you!

These classes will be catered mostly to beginner/intermediate level people, but advanced learners are welcome too. My lessons typically revolve around using "Listening" and "Speaking" as a means to grasp the language over time. I also give homework to my students as base material to talk about the next time we would meet up. All of my tutoring is based on level.
- Homework is given at the end of a lesson, and reviewed through speech/listening exercises at the beginning of every lesson.
- Cultural insights about the country will be given to those who inquire
- Accent and grammar use exercises (speech coaching)
- Occasional Japanese food making for those who want to learn how to make some food
