About Tom
I’m a creative at heart. From an early age I was singing, writing, and telling stories. I got my first taste of the written word, by writing letters to leading publications, and in my teenage years I was featured in the i newspaper and BBC TopGear magazine.
I studied marketing at university where I excelled in modules on advertising and communications. I took this creative passion into my career where I worked for a leading student discounts website promoting deals and discounts for some of the world’s leading fashion and fast moving consumer goods brands. I later specialised in digital marketing where I worked on websites for technology consulting firms, marketing agencies, and medical technology companies. I’ve worked in various roles and more recently led an 8-person multinational marketing team across the US and UK.
In my spare time I write on various topics including technology, sustainability, and neurodiversity. I’ve also published 8 Creative Exercises for Talented Marketing Professionals. I’m also an avid cyclist and in my spare time you’ll find me getting lost on a ride.

I teach online and I can support you with the following:
- Feedback and role play of typical business scenarios; interviews, presentations, and meetings.
- Live feedback on your marketing or creative ideas
- Live feedback on your copywriting
- CV and cover letter reviews.
Approach:
Lessons are led by your specific goals. I start with new clients by asking exploratory questions to better understand where you need help and where you do not. For live document review, I use screen sharing to provide feedback and comments (where technology allows). For spoken exercises, I will listen to your talk/presentation and then provide feedback afterwards. I can also provide a written summary of the session so you can track progress and remember key points.
Format:
- Sessions are typically 30 minutes to 1 hour long
- My lessons are for adults 18 and over either in work or looking to get their next role.
