About Jonathan
I’m an investment banking professional with a strong background in finance, economics, and quantitative analysis. I graduated from Pomona College in Southern California, where I studied Economics and developed a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and economic theory.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with complex financial concepts and quantitative analysis, and I enjoy breaking down difficult ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps. As a tutor, I’m patient, approachable, and a strong communicator. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts in multiple ways until they make sense.
My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic or looking to strengthen your overall understanding, I’m happy to work at your pace and help you reach your goals.

My lessons focus primarily on mathematics and economics, with an emphasis on making challenging concepts simple, understandable, and practical. I believe students learn best when they understand the reasoning behind a problem rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures.
I tailor each lesson to the student's individual level, learning style, and goals. Whether you need help catching up in class, preparing for an exam, completing homework, or building a stronger foundation, I break concepts down step-by-step and provide plenty of opportunities to practice.
For mathematics, I can help with topics ranging from algebra and pre-calculus to calculus, statistics, and other quantitative subjects. For economics, I focus on both the intuition and mathematics behind concepts such as supply and demand, market structures, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and financial economics.
My goal is not only to help you solve today's problems, but to develop your problem-solving skills and confidence so you can approach future assignments and exams independently.
