About Farzaana
I have recently completed my GCSEs and am awaiting my results, which are predicted grades 9-8. I have always had a real passion for sociology at GCSE level, and so I am planning to take it at A level too. As a student preparing for my GCSEs, I had never achieved below a grade 9 for any of my sociology mock exams, so I am confident I have achieved the same grade for my GCSEs. Therefore, as a result of my love for sociology combined with my expert GCSE-level knowledge of the subject, I have the ability to shape young minds like mine, as students can relate to my own previous experiences, allowing me to teach and advise them on a personal level.

Each lesson is 1 hour long and takes place 1:1 online once a week. I teach topics with prepared PowerPoint presentations, whilst providing real life examples of sociological concepts, and quiz students at the end to ensure their understanding. I also set a short amount of practise exam questions as homework each week to reinforce the learnings from each topic. This allows me to understand the student’s strengths and weaknesses so I can tailor each lesson to fit their needs.
