About Nuria

I'm a tutor with a passion for modern languages, particularly Spanish. Having achieved the top marks in all my Spanish assessments, I want to help others reach their full potential with their own challenges at school.

Many kids feel discouraged when learning a language, which is upsetting given that these days, having the ability to be multilingual is a highly valuable and rewarding skill. Once students understand the building blocks, they will feel empowered to learn more so that they are not just studying a language to improve their grades, but also to enhance their own personal development and capabilities.

About the lesson

Firstly, I will ask the student what level of proficiency they have and what areas they'd like to improve on. Whether it be understanding grammatical structures, improving their vocabulary or even just learning numbers, I will help the student fully grasp these concepts with confidence and precision.

Subsequently, we will use these tools to construct accurate and articulate sentences in Spanish, both orally and in writing, and also to decipher the language itself.
Understanding how the grammar and structure works is fundamental to excelling in any language, and it is this comprehension that has allowed me to achieve a 9 and an A*at GCSE and A-Level respectively.

There are many effective learning methods, and given that people learn in different ways, I will ask the student whether they prefer any specific techniques. If they are unsure, I'll start off by teaching in the way I believe to be the most helpful. Whatever method we choose, I'll ensure that it is not only productive and challenging, but also fun and enjoyable for the student.

My lessons will last for one hour and they are designed for kids who are struggling with this subject, up to and including A-Level knowledge.
I have helped kids improve their English reading abilities through my school's Primary Mentoring system, and they have shown clear, positive results. Having been taught by many tutors myself, I understand which methods are the most effective and I hope to help others enhance their potential through these techniques.
