About Leer
My name is Leer, and I’m a dedicated student tutor with a strong academic background in mathematics and science. I have a 99% in Precalculus 11, 97% in Science, and have won multiple awards in the Waterloo Math Contests. I also genuinely enjoy helping students build both their academic confidence and understanding.
I know that math can sometimes feel challenging or intimidating—I’ve experienced that myself! That’s why I focus on breaking difficult concepts into smaller, manageable steps and making sure students understand why something works rather than simply memorizing formulas.
Through my tutoring experience, I’ve worked with students with different learning styles, abilities, and levels of confidence. Lessons are available for elementary to high school students!

I focus on helping students build a strong understanding of math concepts instead of only memorizing formulas. I'm patient, organized, and try to personalize to each student’s learning pace.
A typical lesson usually begins with reviewing previous material or homework questions, followed by learning or practicing a specific concept.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I understand many of the challenges students face because I have recently completed studying many similar courses myself, including advanced mathematics and several AP courses.
Lessons are intended for elementary, middle school, and high school students who would like support with general math, algebra, foundations, or pre-calculus topics!
